Sauropods

Sauropods are classified based on their long neck and tail, herbivorous diet and four legs. They were the biggest dinosaurs and they were huge. They grew about 25 meters long and 12 meters high. Even some of the smallest sauropods grew up to 15 meters long. The largest could easily reach a length of 30 meters and a weight of 80 tons. They had small heads on giant necks and thick, colonized legs to hold up its heavy neck and torso. They had long, tail-like whips and long necks to eat leaves from taller trees such as giraffes. They had teeth-shaped, pencils and a spoon to help chew. They also swallowed stones to grind the food they ate. There are many sauropods that once roamed the land of Australia. These are Austrosaurus, Australotitan, Diamantinasaurus, Rhoesaurus, Savannasaurus and Wintonotitan.
